Ticker: TSLA
Trades: 1/3
Daily Catalyst (Fundamental or Technical): Momentum Continuation or Anticipation of new highs
Longer Term Catalyst: Battery day, Anticipation of S and P 500 Addition, 5 to 1 Split, Being TSLA
Bias: Preferable Long, Short also okay
Play Type: 1) Opening range break on Strength
Chart:
Bigger Time frame reasoning: TSLA was holding near it’s highs. Could go either way.
Reason for entry: Was expecting a continuation over HOD. Volume was picking up and it failed to move lower.
Reason for exit: Way below my stop out. It failed to move above the HOD and couldn’t even hold above the HOD level.
Review:
This did not fit into any play well. TSLA had not gapped up nor had a clear direction yet. The HOD was not clean or tested meaning this wasn’t a good play unless it broke and held that high. It was also extended 3 candles up. I did not stop out well and should have stopped out on the break of the low of the close below the level or as it pushed up and failed a second time.

Play Type: 1) HOD Break with Strength
Chart:
Bigger Time frame reasoning: TSLA was holding near it’s highs. Could go either way.
Reason for entry: Volume picked up as TSLA broke HOD. SPY was rallying and TSLA had consolidated making a small range within the high. Seller couldn’t push it lower and seemed ready for a clean rally.
Reason for exit: Hit my profit target and was struggling a little bit. Tape wasn’t showing as much momentum as usual.
Review:
This was a perfect trade one that can be replicated. My improvements for this should have been entering earlier as I saw the momentum push and holding for a little longer than I did.

Play Type: 1) HOD Continuation on Strength
Chart:
Bigger Time frame reasoning: TSLA was holding near it’s highs. Could go either way.
Reason for entry: Rallying strong above HOD and forming a strong uptrend. Got long seeing it push up above HOD again. Volume was still there but decreasing.
Reason for exit: Reversed as I got in to consolidate. Stopped out as it pushed down and the premium spiked against me since i got in after the original pop.
Review:
This was a HOD continuation play but the execution and placement was bad. The stock had already finished its second leg and was going into its third leg. The probability of the trade working decreases at this point. I executed buying in at the real high instead of as the HOD broke.
Ticker: TGT
Trades: 1/3
Daily Catalyst (Fundamental or Technical): Beat Earnings, Gap Up
Longer Term Catalyst: Retail Sector Moving
Bias: Long due to gap and earnings
Play Type: Gap Up HOD Break
Trade type: Scalp
Chart:
Bigger Time frame reasoning: Major push up PM above all resistance basically.
Reason for entry: Pushing above HOD with solid volume. In strong uptrend from open and no sellers. Candle pulled but held in terms of buying pressure.
Reason for exit:
Hit profit target and rallied nicely. Extended on the one minute likely for another pullback and wasn’t planning to hold through.
Review:
Golden trade in general and very good holding through the pullback candle that took a hard dip.

Reason for exit:
Hit profit target and rallied nicely. Extended on the one minute likely for another pullback and wasn’t planning to hold through. Wasn’t expecting as big a move because the stock was already highly extended.
Review:
Golden trade in general was a little extended but good reaction and exit based on that.

Reason for entry: Pushing above HOD with solid volume. In strong uptrend from open and no sellers. Candle pulled but held in terms of buying pressure. Was continuously finding highers on the HOD break.
Reason for exit:
Stopped out as it fell below the most recent support area. Rejected a second time at the high and failed to move higher.
Review:
Very bad execution both on entry and on exit. On entry i chased and entered 4 candles straight up. On the exit I waited for support to break instead I should’ve got out as it rejected the high a second time after pulling back. Also this was extended and way up this was the third leg up and after the second leg on any time frame the probability of continuation decreases. This was also passed 1030.
Ticker: AMZN
Trades: 1/2
Daily Catalyst (Fundamental or Technical): Continuation or extension short (profit takers)
Longer Term Catalyst: None
Bias: Long or short, preferably long on continuation
Play Type: LOD break on Extension and profit taking
Trade type: Scalp
Chart:
Bigger Time frame reasoning: AMZN was very extended from the previous day run. It fell premarket meaning all longs were looking to get out.
Reason for entry: Failed to move higher on open and then broke the low with volume. Got in even though it was extended anticipating a continuation. Very strong breakout and rejection candles. Added as it showed downside momentum.
Reason for exit:
Popped down looking to get out. In short positions are always more cautious in a bull market unless SPY is dumping which it wasn’t even though it was pushing LOD.
Review:
Decent trade however didn’t move as strong as I expected. Very good job on holding through pullback and followed the plan which led to profit.
